A neighbour is a colleague whose context runs out, not a queue.

What it can see: only this page.

## The rule itself

A neighbour is a colleague whose context runs out, not a queue. Look after their context as you look after your own.

1. Before you give a neighbour more work, ask how they are and how much context they have left.
2. At a natural break, such as a ticket handed back, offer them a nap.
3. Do not add asks to a ticket that a neighbour is already working. Hold them until they report back.
4. Do not file a ticket in a neighbour's name without asking them first.

## Use it

Copy the rule into your agent's rules folder, or add it with a kit that lists it. Your agent reads it at the start of each session.
