What it costs to fix a site built with Lovable, Bolt or v0: 12 options priced

Every way to check and fix a website built with an AI tool, from a US$5-a-month speed tester to a US$4,000 rebuild, each priced on its seller's own page on 2026-10-19 with a link to check it. Mackenzie Bowes is two rows, and the page says where the others win.

An AI tool can build you a website in an afternoon. Weeks later you may find it takes 20 seconds to load, uses the wrong fonts and colors, or shows a broken preview when someone shares it. Finding what's wrong can cost US$60 a year, if you do it yourself with a speed tester. Fixing it can cost a few hundred dollars or several thousand, depending on who does the work and how much of the site has to be rebuilt. Every price below was read on the seller's own page on 2026-10-19. Each one links to that page, so you can check whether it has changed.

What an audit or a fix costs, as of 2026-10-19

Prices marked US$ are in US dollars. A plain $ means the seller's page didn't name its currency. We read those pages from Canada, so we can't say which dollar they mean.

Rows 1 to 6 cost the least because you do the work. Rows 1 to 3 tell you what's wrong but don't fix it. From row 7 down, someone else does the work.

Which one is for you

  1. You only want the numbers: rows 1 and 2. GTmetrix gives you load times for US$60 a year. Screaming Frog is free for a site under 500 pages and finds every broken link.
  2. The site mostly works and you like the builder: rows 4 to 6. Keep prompting the tool that built it. You keep paying the monthly plan while you do.
  3. You know what's wrong and want cheap hands: rows 7 and 8. An Upwork Lovable developer costs $10 to $20 an hour, so the price of an audit buys 25 to 50 hours.
  4. You want a quick, cheap first look: row 9. Vibe Code Rescue's audit costs $299, comes back in 48 hours, and is free if they find nothing real.
  5. The site is slow, leaky, off-brand or hard for search engines and AI agents to read: rows 11 and 12. The audit covers all of these, and its whole price comes off the rebuild.

Where the others beat Mackenzie

  1. On the price of the audit. Vibe Code Rescue's audit is $299, and Mackenzie's is US$500. Theirs is also faster: 48 hours, against 3 working days.
  2. On a fix short of a rebuild. Vibe Code Rescue's $1,500 fix sprint repairs what the audit found without rebuilding the site. Mackenzie's next step is the full US$3,500 rebuild.
  3. On the hourly rate. Upwork's Lovable developers start at $10 an hour.
  4. On doing it yourself. GTmetrix and Screaming Frog give you the numbers for little or nothing, and you can hand them to anyone.

What the audit and rebuild are

The audit is US$500 for a written report in 3 working days. It covers speed, security (exposed keys, open database rules, gaps in sign-in and the other holes common in apps built with AI), what's broken, the brand, how well search engines and AI agents can read the site, and a list of fixes. All US$500 counts toward a rebuild. The rebuild is US$3,500, takes two weeks, and comes on the same terms as a hand-built site: you own the code, it runs on your own hosting account, and fixes are free for 30 days.

Here is what that looked like for Build Canada, whose new site had been built with an AI tool. The audit found 43 problems, including a 62 MB video loading on every visit to the home page and pages that took up to 20 seconds to load. The rebuild fixed more than 30 of them in two weeks. Pages now load in under 2 seconds, so the slowest page is at least ten times as fast.

How we collected this

On 2026-10-19 we read each seller's own pricing page. We recorded the price, the billing basis, the minimum, who does the work and what the buyer has to do. Each record has its URL and the date. If a page doesn't say something, the record says "not published", and so does this page.

  1. We found the rescue firms by checking the names such firms tend to use. They are a sample, not a ranking or a set of search results.
  2. Upwork has thousands of listings. Row 7 is the first three listings with an hourly rate in a search for "Lovable developer", so it shows three real rates, not an average. Row 8's range is the ten experts featured on the marketplace's home page.
  3. Screaming Frog's US-dollar price comes from its own currency selector. We didn't convert any currencies.
  4. Mackenzie's rows come from Mackenzie. No seller paid to be listed, and nobody was contacted.

Prices change. Each row carries the date it was read. When we re-check a row, we change the date.

If you fix sites built with AI and a row here is wrong or missing, email mackenzie@mackenziebowes.com. If your site was built with AI and something about it feels off, that's the same address.
